CLR Design has many years experience in hotel and corporate design, including some of the most prestigious hotels in Ireland.
It was established by Ciara Ní Laoi in 1997, after 13 years working in the area.
CLR has a broad experience in the commercial sector, detailed on the enclosed Project List, and has worked mainly at the upper end of the hospitality area – in some cases working as part of the Design Team (such as Doonbeg Golf Club, St Helen’s Radisson Hotel), in other cases working exclusively with the Client (Mount Juliet, Moy House, Druids Glen, Ballynahinch Castle Hotel, O’Looney’s), taking projects from concept to handover.
We like to get on board as early as possible, as good design starts with getting the layout right and no two projects are the same. When commencing, we spend a lot of time working with the client on establishing the brief and the requirements specific to each project.
When initial layouts are worked out, visuals and sample boards are produced for discussion and approval, and when designs are finalised, working drawings, electrical layouts and finishes specifications follow.
The approach to a project is to work on the basic structure and add the layers gradually. We like a space to look and feel as if it has evolved naturally over time. We aim for a casually elegant, comfortable finish.
We work with an eclectic mix of furnishings, including antiques, and have a specialised group of tradespeople to produce bespoke items. CLR Design can tailor a package to your requirements. Our design package can range from Turnkey solutions -complete design and fit-out, including the purchase, manufacture, delivery and installation of all items – to design only consultancy.
